According to different production methods, it can be divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold-drawn pipes, extruded pipes, etc.

1.1 Hot-rolled stainless steel seamless pipes are generally produced on automatic pipe rolling machines. Check the solid pipe billet, remove surface defects, cut to the required length, center on the end face of the perforated end of the pipe billet, and then send it to the heating furnace for heating and perforation on the perforator. While perforating, it keeps rotating and moving forward. Under the action of rollers and plugs, a cavity is gradually formed in the pipe billet, which is called a rough pipe. Then it is sent to the automatic pipe rolling machine for further rolling. Finally, the wall thickness is adjusted by the whole machine and the diameter is determined by the sizing machine to meet the specification requirements. It is an advanced method to produce hot-rolled seamless steel pipes with continuous pipe rolling machines.

1.2 If you want to obtain seamless pipes with smaller size and better quality, cold rolling, cold drawing or a combination of the two should be used. Cold rolling is usually carried out on a two-roll mill, and the steel pipe is rolled into an annular hole type consisting of a variable-section circular groove and a fixed conical plug. Cold drawing is usually carried out on a 0.5.100t single-chain or double-chain cold drawing machine.

1.3-Extrusion method refers to placing the heated tube in a closed extrusion cylinder, and the perforating rod moves with the extrusion rod to extrude the extrusion from the smaller die hole. This method can produce steel pipes with smaller diameters.

This type of steel pipe can be divided into stainless steel seamless steel pipes and stainless steel welded steel pipes (grooved pipes), which can be manufactured according to different production processes

These basic types are: hot rolling, extrusion, cold drawing and cold rolling. According to the cross-sectional shape, it can be divided into round tubes and special-shaped tubes. Round steel pipes are widely used, but there are also some special shapes of stainless steel pipes, such as square, rectangular, semicircular, hexagonal, equilateral triangle and octagonal.

The liquid pressure of the steel pipe will be hydraulically tested to test its pressure resistance and quality. No leakage, wetting, and expansion under the specified pressure are qualified. Some steel pipes will also be subjected to curling test, expansion test and flattening test according to standards or requirements.

Seamless stainless steel pipe, also known as stainless steel seamless pipe, is made of steel ingot or solid tube billet after perforation, hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing. The specifications of seamless steel pipe are expressed in millimeters of outer diameter or wall thickness.
